Took me a while to get out of bed this morning, but once I did I got sooooo much done! I seem to have a strange amount of energy today... made cinnamon chip waffles, chocolate ganache and orange buttercream filling for my french macarons (they are so good!), cleaned, did the laundry, caught up on some DVR, watched the Jayhawks beat the Bruins and squeaked in a photoshoot of my little Phoebe, holiday decorations and the famous macarons.

This is Phoebe's favorite spot. That damn Apple TV never turns off, so it's all warm. Phoebe loves to drape herself over it - too funny!

I've been without my little Phoebe since Wednesday morning. She's been with the vet for post surgical care from her spay. I like that my vet actually keeps kitties till they are through their meds rather than sending owners home with a bunch of stuff to keep up with. No owner can administer meds like the vet techs.
Her surgery went very well. When I called in to check on her on Thurs & Friday they were fawning over how cute she is. They were loving how friendly and lovable she is and didn't want to have to give her back. My how things have changed since Spencer!! They even put a little "she is sooooo cute" note on the after care order. So funny. I'm so happy she's such a go with the flow cat. Now Lucy, on the other hand, is not so happy to have Phoebe home. She was really enjoying her time with me as an only cat. I think she's actually at her best when there aren't any other cats around. SUCKS that I'm so allergic to her. I have been going through allergy shots for almost two years and honestly don't think they are helping. Will have to take that up with my allergist. I may have to drive her to Kansas and give her to my parents. I know my mother is ready for a kitty (right mom?) so I think it would be an outstanding fit should it come to that. ***Comments [3]
